How Do I Get Involved?

Want to become a Volunteer with BDAM? Perhaps you have a good reading voice, or have an interesting story to tell?  Do you have a background in social media or IT or perhaps you have experience in fundraising  or arranging events?

Some of the roles you can take up with us:

Editor – Plans the interview programme and drafts the continuity for each issue.

Sound Technician – Edits the audio files ready for publication of the monthly magazine.

Continuity Reader – Prepares and records a script using the Editors programme to link the items featured on the audio magazine. Usually done on a rota basis.

News Reader – Helps gather local items of interest. Prepares a script and records the news that will be featured on the monthly programme. Usually done on a rota basis.

Interviewer – Works in conjunction with the Editor. Directly sources or follows up ideas of potential people to interview for the audio magazine. Works with contacts to plan / prepare the feature and record the story.

Visitor / Distributor – Where applicable, collects and delivers a CD copy of the audio magazine and delivers it to individuals in the local area.

Fundraiser – Works within the team and events committee on an ad hoc basis to plan and deliver fundraising events.
