Volunteers with the Audio magazine help in a variety of ways, some needing more time commitment than others. Some of our volunteers serve on the committee of the organisation as trustees, others give their time on a more ad-hoc basis. The various positions are listed below.

Other Voluntary jobs, not on the committee

Sound technician

Records the live items at the monthly production meeting and prepares the master CD doing any editing necessary.

Interviewer

Follows up on suggestions, or finds own subjects to interview at any time during the month. After editing, delivers the recording to the Editor.

News Reader

Attends the monthly meeting on a rota basis. Prepares a script using the Editor’s programme to link the items on the CD.

Continuity

Attends monthly meeting on a rota basis. Prepares a script using the editor’s programme to link the items on the CD.

Visitor

Collects and delivers a CD to one specific person at a sometime during the month to suit both people.

Fundraiser

Member of the Events committee which meets on an ad-hoc basis to plan and deliver fundraising events – usually not more than one major and two minor events a year.
